The module gives you an overview of the Nordic countries on a macro level, moving from a historical perspective to today's dominating industries. The aim is also to give you an insight to the various challenges and opportunities in making a successful market entry in a Nordic country. Further, we look at the various strategic choices and operative challenges when establishing and developing a market position in the Nordic markets. The module gives you the following skills: - You can conduct business and environment analysis (market research), especially focusing on a Nordic environment. - You can build a business case for expansion in the Nordics. - You can assess different aspects of corporate and business strategies. Can reassess strategic choices in changing situations.

 Rather than traditional lectures, practical workshops are held. These workshops are held both online and on campus. All lectures are given weekdays from 16:30 onwards and weekends on Saturdays (9:30 - 16). The assignments consist of both individual assignments and group assignments.

The Nordic countries combined form the seventh largest economic area (GDP) in the world. This module gives you unique insights to what geographical expansion in the Nordics mean in practice. Further, the learnings are also applicable in a broader international context.

The module is aimed at professionals with a desire for personal development, providing you a skillset that can be used for leading development projects that aim at new market entry and geographical expansion.

The Business development in the Nordics module contains unique courses with events at Nordic embassies, expert lectures, and strong partnerships with, e.g., Nordic chambers of commerce. The courses are also designed to help with building professional networks in this context.
